This is another wonderful Dutch silver show spoon, made in 1907, and decorated with the coat of arms of the province Zeeland: "Luctor et emergo". The top of the handle has a windmill, which actually moves; underneath on each side are puttis. The shaft of the handle has an open, twisted design. The bowl of the spoon has the aforementioned coat of arms. The hallmarks are on the top inside of the spoon bowl and include: the Dutch silver mark; the office stamp; and the date letter (1907). Spoons like these were made to show off the success of the owner.
