Large red over clear glass vase made and signed by Professor Josef Drahonovsky, Prague, Czechoslovakia. He was one of the most important glass makers during the 1930s. He is very well known in the art glass world and is published in many articles and books. His glass pieces have brought very good prices at auctions. As a side note, we met and visited with Mrs. Drahonovska (his daughter-in-law) in Prague and bought many of his pieces, in addition to his sketches and magazine/newspaper articles about him. He had a great influence on many art glass makers. We have many pieces and objects by Drahonsovsy, as well as a vast amount of information.

This beautiful vase has a scene on one side of a vase with flowers; on the other side is a scene with a woman harvesting. The signature is below the vase with flowers.
